ICON Technology
Becoming ICONIC.
Our mission is to re-imagine the approach to homebuilding and construction to make affordable, dignified housing available to everyone throughout the world.
Homebuilding hasn't changed since the middle ages.
Stagnancy in home building has not kept up with demand and population growth. This has contributed to a growing housing crisis. Traditional home building methods are inefficient and wasteful. These critical problems have driven costs up past the point of affordability for the average person. High costs also mean providing adequate shelter in developing countries can be nearly impossible. We are passionate about advancing the state of home construction because the issues we are working on are significant. Our technology enables more shelter for more people in a time when we need it most.
We're Just Getting Warmed Up
In 2018, ICON was the first company in America to secure a building permit for and build a 3D printed home. The house in Austin, TX was a proof of concept that brought our team, investors, and customers together to drive towards the future.
We’ve used that support to develop robotics, software, and materials as our core technology for our partners and home buyers. The strength of these products has been proven further through a number of projects since that first house, with more to come soon.
Our team is changing the world.
The audacious mission of ICON is to revolutionize homebuilding, and our team’s expertise and determination have already made this dream a reality. Our team has a passion for design, engineering, and elegant software. We have decades of experience in sustainable technology and construction innovation.
Careers
Join us as we reimagine homebuilding on Earth and beyond.
ICON is a truly exceptional place to work. We are as passionate about the success and experience of our team members as we are about our mission to shape the future of homebuilding. You're not just building your career, you're helping build the future of human shelter.
