Madison Gas and Electric Company (MGE) is an investor-owned public utility headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin—the state capital and home to the University of Wisconsin. MGE is the main subsidiary of MGE Energy, Inc. MGE generates and distributes electricity to nearly 134,000 customers and purchases and distributes natural gas to nearly 133,000 customers.
