Permit Coordinator - Smithfield, RI

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING - THE ROLE

- Pull contracts, photos, and other pertinent information for submittal of permit application
- Maintains permit database throughout all stages of permitting process
- Assists homeowners with any permitting issues and with permit close outs
- Runs a bi-weekly permit audit for management team
- Assists Project Consultants in HOA/Condo approval/submittal process
- Work with appropriate contact to obtain appropriate Certificates of Liability
- Reviews order list and assess which orders will need a permit
- Accurately completes municipalities application (in concert with Project Consultant if applicable) and submits with needed documentation
- File obtained permits into each customer's file for historical knowledge
- Match permit receipt with check stub (permit fee) and deliver to accounting for Use tax tracking
- Follows up to ensure all permits are closed after Installation and/or the job is completed

WHAT YOU BRING - THE PERSON

- High School Diploma or equivalent required; College Degree preferred
- Strong understanding of administrative duties
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
