AI Oversight and Policy Lead Clinical Systems - Applications Administration Full Time 81766BR Job Summary The AI Oversight and Policy Lead will oversee the day-to-day operations of the AI Oversight Committee, manage the development and implementation of AI-related policies, and support the strategic deployment of AI initiatives within UCSF Health. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that AI tools are trustworthy, ethically deployed, and compliant with a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape. This role assists in interpreting, monitoring and analyzing information regarding state and federal policies related to regulating artificial intelligence and provides consultative services to department administrators and other stakeholders. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $128,600 - $192,900 (Annual Rate). This team plays a critical role in ensuring that AI tools deployed across the health system enhance patient care, streamline operations, and align with regulatory standards. The AI Oversight and Policy Lead will be central to managing the AI Oversight Committee, advising on AI policies, and supporting the execution of the AI strategy within UCSF Health.
