Job Summary

CenterPoint Energy is looking for a Lead SAP Security Architect to join our Identity & Access Management (IAM) Team, located in Houston, TX.

You will have the ability to: be responsible for designing and implementing security for new SAP systems and modules. This position is also responsible for reviewing the existing security design across our 13 SAP production systems and 12 HANA DBs to identify opportunities for enhancing our SAP security posture and then implementing those changes for on-premise and cloud environments (SAP RISE).

Essential Functions

  • Facilitate security requirements between SAP user community, configuration and programming teams, project teams, and SAP Security Administration.
  • Research and recommend security solutions for new SAP technology.
  • Design solutions using new SAP technology that is not well understood.
  • Propose, define, and document security strategies for horizontal SAP business intelligence capabilities and Business Objects.
  • Design and implement SAP Portal KM Security for Business Intelligence Reporting segregating all business users.
  • Design Entitlements and Roles on SAILPOINT for role-based access controls on SAP systems.
  • Plan, implement and document SAP Security procedures for new SAP system builds.
  • Extensive knowledge on Business Warehouse Reporting applications Web Designer, Bex Analyzer, Query Designer.
  • Design and build security required for Business Object foundation and the applications Crystal, Xcelsius, Dataservices and Universe.
  • Design and develop Portal Security including permissions around the content.
  • Provide SAP security consultation throughout the Corporation.
  • Analyze and map clients' business requirements, processes, and objectives. Develop necessary SAP role changes to satisfy clients' needs.
  • Participate in SAP project Blueprinting sessions to understand customer requirements for large scale SAP projects.
  • Support implementation phase and assist with the development of functional and technical requirements, scope, and acceptance testing.
  • Recommend improvements in the existing business process and define SAP roles to execute the corresponding processes.

Education Description

Bachelor's degree in Computer science, IT, MIS, Engineering from accredited college or university.

Experience

A minimum of 7 years of SAP Security experience including ECC 6.0, BW, SRM, Solution Manager, Business Objects, GRC, Portal and UI Security, S4 Hana and CRM
