Network Systems Administrator

Job Purpose:

Support the day to day IT operations of the manufacturing facility to ensure maximum uptime and profitability for the company. Ensure key systems are kept online and secured through automated and manual processes, while adhering to Sanmina policies and procedures.

Nature of Duties:

Systems management:



  • Monitor, Upgrade, Install and Troubleshoot Servers, including VM environment, computers, networks, networking hardware devices.
  • Supports and maintains system backups, user and server security, user account management, e-mail systems, Active Directory environment, internet access, office systems, internal and external customer support to ensure business continuity.


Hardware Support:



  • Support and maintain servers, network, production equipment, desktop hardware, Printers, Cellular, telecommunications equipment.


Chrome OS Management:



  • Configure OUs, Concise understanding of this system (Public Sessions, Device Settings, enrollment, etc.).
  • G Suite - Concise understanding of how the G Suite applications work (Gmail, Google Drive, Sheets, Docs, Slides, Calendar).


KTLO:



  • Attends various meetings (GBS, GSI, Networking, Telecommunications, Chrome, Gsuite).
  • Updates and maintains Enterprise anti-virus and anti-malware software.
  • PBX Telecommunications support, setup & program phone switch, configuration and maintenance of the voicemail system.
  • Proposes needs analysis, implements system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of our systems.
  • Upgrades, installs and maintains IT environmental monitoring equipment.
  • Work with external entities, contractors, customers, suppliers, and temp agencies etc. installing, and maintaining their on-site equipment.
  • Develop and create reference documents for apps, processes, utilized at Sanmina for various products.
  • Handles highly confidential information and records and complies with IT Security policies.
  • Management of multiple projects, activities, and tasks simultaneously.
  • Perform orientation and training of new FIT staff, coaching, and mentoring of tech support personnel.
  • Perform training sessions Lunch and Learns with peers, and employees, when applicable as products change.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and parts, maintain supplier contacts. Communicate professionally both orally and written.



Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Network systems administration
  • Ability to work based on goals and ticketing system and deliver on time resolutions.
  • Knowledge of Windows (XP, 7, 10).
  • Works well both alone or in a team setting and possesses strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Works well with internal & external IT groups including Customer, Engineering teams, and Network groups.
  • Knowledge of Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Linux is a plus but not required.
  • Project Management skills
  • Intermediate Networking knowledge and skills including, but not limited to: Ethernet physical layer connectivity analysis, basic TCP/IP protocol setup and troubleshooting skills, network interface card setup and connectivity analysis.
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, high demand environment.
