Position Summary

Kinesso is seeking a Director to join Kinesso's Privacy team as a data protection and privacy subject matter expert specializing in product development. The Privacy Product Director is responsible for building rapport with product and engineering teams to evaluate and mitigate risk related to our internal technology, tools and data sets.


Responsibilities

1. Product Privacy Risk Mitigation:



  • Support the broader product and business teams by consulting on product-related matters across the organization's proprietary tech and tools.


  • Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate privacy risks at every stage of the product life cycle.


  • Advise all internal stakeholders on the development, collection, use, transfer and governance of data.


  • Develop a deep understanding of Kinesso's product and data flows; conduct new product/ feature reviews and assist with technology integrations involving personal data.


  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and legal teams to ensure seamless integration of privacy requirements.


  • Draft or enhance data governance policies, including guidelines on data retention, access, privacy-by-design reviews, data protection impact assessments, data transfers and vendor management.


2. Data Partnership Oversight



  • Support IPG Mediabrands' privacy due diligence efforts for all media and data partnerships, identifying and mitigating potential risks.


  • Partner and provide privacy expertise to Data, Product and Legal teams during the contracting process with new data and tech partners.


  • Stay informed about evolving privacy regulations and industry best practices to protect the company's data assets.



Required Skills & Experience

  • Deep understanding of privacy regulations: A strong foundation in GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant privacy laws is essential.
  • Product development experience: Experience in the product development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, testing, and launch.
  • Data governance expertise: Knowledge of data governance principles, including data retention, access controls, and data security.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills: The ability to clearly communicate complex privacy concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills: The ability to identify and analyze privacy risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Passion for privacy: A genuine interest in data privacy and a commitment to protecting user data.

The salary range for this position is posted below. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee's/applicant's skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
