Department:ICE | NRSL Clinical Specialist IP CDepartment's Website: Summary of Job Duties:The Clinical Specialist is a licensed nurse who functions within the three spheres of influence; patient-nurse-system. Must possess advanced knowledge of nursing practice and the ability to apply standards within the Inpatient and/or Outpatient practice areas. Co-Leadership with the Spine Medical Directors to coordinate the development and implementation of the UAMS Spine Program while remaining consistent with the leadership of the Neurosciences Service Line. Lead the Spine Steering committee to establish and prioritize both long-term and short-term goals within the program. This includes but is not limited to the work for continued Joint Commission readiness and site visits. Collaborates with key personnel in departments that provide care to the spine patient including but not limited to Neuroscience and Orthopaedic leadership teams, inpatient nursing at Main and TOSH, rehabilitation services, perioperative staff, anesthesia, interventional pain, orthopaedic and neurosurgery spine attending.Serves as the integral role in various meetings that make decisions on program needs and services.
