How you will contribute:

This is a great opportunity to perfect your leadership skills by helping to ensure work is completed in a safe, compliant, and reliable manner. This position will work closely with the project leadership team not only as a Safety leader, but as a partner in the project's success. You will be surrounded by highly skilled trade people on the frontline looking to work together with a supportive and influential team member.
Specific accountabilities will include monitoring compliance with safety policies, procedures, plans, and regulatory compliance requirements; building engagement in preventative safety activities (leading indicators); training and communication; inspections/audits; incident investigation and management.Strive to become an instrumental team member that adds value by identifying areas for improvement and continuing to build the safety culture. Work alongside customers and members at all levels of the organization by providing top-notch customer service.

What you need to qualify:

Ahern will help make the most of your Bachelor's degree in an Occupational Safety program (related field), and three to five years of experience or equivalent experience and competency.You can stand out above other candidates by demonstrating the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service, possessing strong written and verbal communication skills, and being able to execute tasks with a great amount of detail will be crucial. You will need to possess the ability to lead and influence the safety culture within our worksite locations. Candidates must be a proactive problem solver, be able to identify hazards, and assess risk prior to incidents occurring. Candidates must be willing to travel.
