Work Schedule

Hours may be Monday-Thursday, 9am-9pm; Friday & Saturday, 8am-5pm; Seeking afternoon and evening coverage, hours vary, not to exceed 19.5 hours per week.
All initial training will be onsite in Tempe. Position offers a combination of onsite and work from home options once training is completed.

Job Summary

This position assists in all aspects of proctoring academic exams for Rio Salado College's Online and Distance Learning students. This position provides a high-level of customer service to students by virtually administering a variety of online exams. This position uses technology to monitor testing and ensure assessments are administered in accordance with defined rules and procedures. Provides administrative and technical support to students, proctors, and team members and schedules virtual exams using multiple platforms. Assists the Student Services Specialist to ensure proctoring processes promote student success while also support academic integrity standards.

Essential Functions

60% - Virtually administers a variety of academic assessments to students using various online systems and software while providing a high-level of direct customer service. Acts as the official test proctor for these exams in a virtual setting. Uses technology and various meeting platforms such as WebEx to supervise and monitor testing and ensure assessments are administered in accordance with defined rules and procedures. Maintains confidential testing records, databases, exams, and reports. Supports the Student Services Specialist in ensuring a secure and appropriate testing environment
30% - Provides support to Distance Learning students, faculty, other staff members and external customers through phone, email and occasionally in-person correspondence. Schedules virtual exams using multiple platforms. Provides a high-level of technical support to students, test candidates, and other team members through troubleshooting. Verifies and approves proctors according to established guidelines. Supports a diverse population to include international and military students, all while working in a team environment
10% - Researches and documents testing discrepancies. Assists Student Services Specialist with setting up on-line testing and develops instructional guides for proctors. Prepares and maintains reports related to testing and statistical data. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

A. High school diploma or GED
B. Experience working with computer applications and software, and a willingness to learn other software applications

Desired Qualifications

A. Experience providing effective and courteous customer service
B. Experience working with meeting and video conferencing software such as Webex
C. Experience establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with diverse backgrounds and cultures
