SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Reliability Engineer is responsible for establishing and improving equipment reliability. It is an integral part of the maintenance team. This position is focused on decreasing repetitive equipment failures and increasing efficiency. It also helps drive new ideas and continuous improvement for equipment across the site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Thoroughly investigate equipment failures using root cause analysis and develop cost-effective solutions to prevent repetitive failures.
  • Implement and maintain training programs to support the reliability of equipment installation.
  • Development of standard equipment repairs.
  • Development of BOMs for equipment.
  • Establish, maintain, and report maintenance/reliability metrics using data from the CMMS system.
  • Create reliability projects based on metrics from the CMMS system.
  • Using CMMS system to track daily maintenance failures and analyze breakdowns to identify improvements for equipment.
  • Redesign equipment as needed to improve reliability.
  • Reviews monthly vibration analysis reports and reviews recommendations for repairs.
  • Work with vibration analysts to determine the health of critical equipment.
  • Acts as a resource for operations and mechanics to resolve technical problems or repairs.
  • Improves utilization of predictive technologies to reduce unscheduled repairs to the equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in maintenance, engineering, and plant operations.
  • Ability to read/create blueprints and technical documents/reports.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of CMMS systems, preferably SAP.
  • Ability to understand chemical manufacturing equipment/processes and to work effectively under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with reliability tools and management.
  • Uses and supports the company's management of change (MOC) procedures.
  • Familiar with distributed control systems (DCS).
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects.
