COMPENSATION: Starting $34.37 + 7% Night Shift Differential - Increases at 6 & 12 months!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Analyzes electro/mechanical problems of dairy processing and packaging equipment, and auxiliary equipment. (Focus will be on learning electrical safety procedures, basic electricity, and electrical troubleshooting)
  • Works with current ET's in monitoring and communicating with various PLC's learning proper procedure.
  • Works on 600v circuits and under based on current skill level.
  • Troubleshoots plant and utility equipment making all necessary repairs.
  • Assist machine operators in determining when the machine should be shut down due to mechanical or electrical problems.
  • Trains with plant personnel on the electrical aspects of this position, working towards promotion.
  • Perform established preventative maintenance procedures on plant equipment and completes appropriate paperwork.
  • Processes requisitions to replace parts used.
  • Executes assigned projects under the direction of the Maintenance Coordinator/Maintenance Manager.
  • Performs all work in a timely and professional manner, including follow-up to assure work was completed satisfactorily.
  • Continue education as related to job skills, specifically electrical skills.
  • Work fair share of overtime during breakdowns and scheduled maintenance, including occasional call in for emergency situations.
  • Maintain completed daily record of work performed on MP2 maintenance software.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Various tasks involving the responsibility of the food safety and quality of company products.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of basic industrial 3-phase power, including AC and DC motors, relay logic and programmable control logic.
  • Must possess a basic working knowledge of power transmission equipment, mechanical drawings, scales, and symbols.
  • Prior experience in basic industrial electricity or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in industrial maintenance or equivalent. (lead/foremen experience preferred)
  • Intermediate Computer Skill (i.e. Word, Excel, etc).
  • Excellent Troubleshoot Experience.
  • Ability to work well with people.
  • Communication skills are a must.
  • Multi-tasked Individual.
  • Ability to work independently.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Standing: Long periods (a minimum of 8+ hours)
  • Sitting: Occasionally for short periods
  • Walking: Long periods
  • Bending: Frequently
  • Lifting: Heavy (50+ lbs) frequently
  • Carrying: Heavy (40-60 lbs) frequently distance Pushing/Pulling: under 75 lbs without assistance frequently


SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Frequent Overtime
  • Must have industrial maintenance experience
