Responsibilities

New hybrid opportunity for a Senior Corporate Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting Team based in Billerica. Will be involved in corporate accounting and finance activities which require significant interaction with the Corporate Staff, Division Financial Personnel and the Corporate Consolidation Team. These activities include reviewing results submitted from the various locations, assist with the preparation of financial statement disclosures and the preparation of the quarterly external filings. This position is also responsible for maintaining adequate internal financial controls within Corporate to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley reporting requirements.

    Assist in preparation of the consolidated financial statements, footnotes and disclosures and documentation
  • Coordinate and prepare the financial and statistical data utilized in the preparation and review of periodic SEC 10-Q, 10-K; 8-K and definitive proxy statement filings
  • Ensure that all reports comply with applicable FASB and SEC regulations, professional standards, and organization policies. Prepare and assist with applicable government reports
  • Review data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting policies and procedures
  • Research and resolve various accounting and SEC reporting issues and questions that arise at the corporate and group levels
  • Assist with the preparation of PowerPoint presentation materials to executive management
  • Assist with managing the relationship with the external auditors and the completion of the annual audit and quarterly reviews
  • Analyze financial results and create management reports
  • Assist in the development, maintenance and testing of the company's finance and accounting control policies and procedures
  • Completion of government surveys and compliance forms
  • Assist with the research and implementation of new accounting standards
  • Assist the Corporate Finance team in driving internal control initiatives
  • Performing special accounting and financial and other ad hoc projects as needed
  • Work effectively across the Company's functional organizations: promote effective communication and coordination across groups, both internal and external to the Finance function, to improve efficiency and achieve desired results
  • Perform other duties as required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related Major
  • Minimum 3-4 years Accountant work experience including direct experience in Corporate Finance and Accounting. Big Four accounting/ audit work experience and CPA preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access proficiency desirable
  • SAP and consolidation software (such as BPC, Hyperion Infor) preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of US-GAAP and SEC Rules
  • Broad and general understanding of all aspects of Finance and Accounting
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, handle multiple tasks and details effectively within firm timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate with all levels of individuals and parties in a professional and constructive manner
  • Strong work ethic, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, computer, quantitative, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced problem solving, multi-tasking, organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize accuracy and detail in work activities.

  • Ability to satisfactorily complete position training requirements
  • Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state required
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required
  • Maintain a valid passport with flexibility for domestic and international travel
  • May be required to pass security clearance investigation.
