Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital (JHACH) in St. Petersburg, Florida, is seeking a highly qualified and dynamic Division Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology to lead the division's clinical, educational, and research activities. This leadership role offers the opportunity to guide the growing pediatric pulmonology and Cystic Fibrosis (CF) programs, furthering our commitment to providing exceptional care and advancing the field of pediatric pulmonology. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology, overseeing the clinical, educational, and research programs.
- Provide strategic direction for the development and growth of the division, with a particular focus on Cystic Fibrosis care and research.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a collaborative academic environment.
- Deliver high-quality clinical care to patients ranging from newborns to young adults with both acute and chronic respiratory disorders.
- Ensure continued excellence in patient care, education, and research in alignment with JHACH's mission.
- Work closely with the Cystic Fibrosis Care Center and Therapeutic Development Center to lead innovative research and clinical trials.
- Mentor and develop faculty, fellows, and residents while promoting educational excellence.
- Cultivate a collaborative and supportive environment for both clinical and academic advancement.
Qualifications:
- Strong clinical and academic background in pediatric pulmonology.
- Experience in leadership and team development in a healthcare or academic setting.
- Expertise in Cystic Fibrosis care and research, with a demonstrated commitment to improving clinical outcomes and advancing new therapeutic options.
- Eligible for an academic appointment at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (rank commensurate with experience).
- A passion for mentoring the next generation of pediatric pulmonologists.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Program Highlights:
- The Pediatric Pulmonology program at JHACH includes a growing team of five pediatric pulmonologists, two APRNs, and additional support staff.
- Our program is accredited by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as a Cystic Fibrosis Care Center and is one of only 80 worldwide to be designated a Therapeutic Development Center.
- The division offers a comprehensive range of services, from diagnostic testing and advanced treatments to ongoing education and support for both inpatients and outpatients.
