Job Description
- Responsible for the preparation and analysis of cost reports and costing audits.
- Examines and reviews unusual cost records related to product costing, PPV analysis, scrap analysis, cost of sales, and ensures cost data is allocated correctly.
- Create and submit assigned journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Interact with individuals outside of the Finance department and resolve real time issues.
- Fixed assets responsibilities related to capital requests and capitalization of assets.
- Leads/coordinates site semi-annual physical inventory counts and performs financial analysis of cycle counts.
- Assist Controller in the analysis of standard labor and overhead rates.
- Assist Controller with periodic reporting requirements and analytical support.
- Submit information for internal audit requests.
- Provide backup assistance to other functions within the department.
- May perform other projects and accounting duties as assigned.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing cost accountant role.
- Oracle experience is highly desired.
- Knowledge of IFRS or GAAP accounting standards related to costs and fixed asset accounting.
- Must have worked on semi-complex project teams.
- Must be proficient in MS Office applications with high aptitude in Excel.
- Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
