CDL End Dump Driver

Job Description:

The CDL End Dump Driver will drive a Tractor Trailer/End Dump combination to remove demolition debris from job sites and haul heavy equipment and various materials to and from job sites.

The person in this role, will mainly perform driving duties, however, they must be willing to be a laborer on the demolition crew, when driving tasks are not available.

A Day in the Life

  • Drive Tractor Trailer/End Dump combination.

  • Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy construction projects.

  • Able to control high pressure water hose during demolition and loading.

  • Assist operator with any repairs or maintenance of equipment.

  • Adheres to all customer site-specific safety requirements.

  • Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Brings any concerns to the attention of the project Foreman/ Superintendent, Project Management, Safety Director or Management.

  • Maintains a clean job site at all times. Picks up all material, tools, and small equipment and secures job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.

  • Assist in identifying and ensuring that any underground and overhead utilities have been located/exposed prior to excavating.

  • Safely transport heavy equipment using Class A CDL vehicle (Tractor/Trailer)

Other

  • 6-12 months of laborer experience working on a construction crew.

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

  • Valid DOT Medical Card.

  • Class A CDL holder with at least 3 years of CDL driving experience, including 1+ years of hauling heavy equipment, securing loads, and end dump experience.

  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.

  • Must be at least 21 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check (including FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse query).

  • Spanish-speaking is a plus (English proficiency required).

  • Non-union, and must have reliable transportation to/from job sites.

  • Local to the DFW area, with the ability to travel 50% within Texas and the southern U.S.
