The Addictions Counselor will provide individual and group counseling/therapy, recovery support, alcohol and other drug (AOD) assessment/counseling, harm reduction education, and clinical consultation. Co-occurring mental health concerns may also be addressed as part of this role.
This position will require:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field. Master's degree preferred. Experience: Three-five years of experience working with clients in recovery from substance use disorders and/or substance use counseling Licensure: Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification or Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC). PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires frequently bending/stooping/walking. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
