JOB TYPE Classification: Exempt Supervises Positions: No JOB SUMMARY The Regulatory and Accreditation Manager develops and ensures processes to support a constant survey readiness infrastructure and is responsible for collecting, organizing, documenting, analyzing, and reporting data pertaining to Regulatory Agencies and the facilitation and management of projects impacting regulatory preparedness and accreditation processes. Communication: Demonstrates effective interpersonal communications skills.

Professional Competency: Enhances professional competency through continuing education and researching of material internally or externally.
The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Education: Associate's Degree in healthcare related field required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Training in quality management and/or statistical analysis preferred. Experience: Experience with Quality Improvement processes required. Experience with use of Electronic Medical Records preferred. 3+ years of experience in acute care required if not an RN. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details. Licensure: Registered nurse in Virginia or compact state of residence preferred. CPHQ preferred. Regulatory certification preferred (required within 3 years in position). Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to apply critical thinking in a variety of situations. Effective communication skills with all levels of staff. Computer competency with basic office products (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ability to quickly proprietary tools. Capability to perform statistical analysis. Knowledge of medical terminology. Strong Customer Relation skills. Ability to facilitate all levels of staff appropriately through improvement processes. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage, prioritize, and follow through multiple tasks. Frequent repetitive body movements. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 20 lbs. occasionally.
