The University of Virginia Office of Undergraduate Admission (OUA) is seeking an Associate Dean for Communications and Professional Development. Reporting to a Senior Associate Dean, the Associate Dean will develop and implement data-driven strategies designed to support the recruitment and enrollment goals of the Office of Undergraduate Admission (OUA). The Associate Dean will lead a team whose responsibilities include junior and senior search strategies; electronic, print, digital marketing efforts; vendor relationships; Admission Counselor supervision; staff professional development. Associate Deans develop working relationships across a broad set of groups and individuals, from students, teachers, and families to alumni, school counselors, student support staff, and members of our high school and college communities. We are seeking caring, creative, collaborative, and student-centered individuals who are interested in a career that is fulfilling and rewarding and who want to help us strengthen the excellence, diversity, success, and sense of community of the UVA student body for the next decade and beyond. The Office of Admission partners with the Office of Student Financial Services, the University Registrar, and the Virginia College Advising Corps, as a critical member of the University's Enrollment team. The team's mission is to: care for students from their first interaction with the University through Final Exercises and beyond; compete for great students from all walks of life who will make each other better; and collaborate joyfully with colleagues to help these students make the most of their gifts and their time at UVA. RESPONSIBILITIES Associate Deans will:
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's degree. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to lead independently with confidence and compassion; analyze and solve problems; collaborate with internal and external partners; and communicate effectively. An understanding of current issues and trends affecting enrollment and higher education, especially at leading public universities and familiarity with CRM systems such as Slate, is preferred. This position is In-Person located in Charlottesville, VA. The anticipated start date is ASAP. Anticipated Hiring Range: $65,000-$90,000 commensurate with education and experience.
