The Poplar Ridge Challenge Course program is an outdoor experiential learning and training program revolving around team building, problem solving, and leadership development concepts through engagement in experiential initiatives, low ropes activities, and high ropes activities. Facilitators take on many roles--trainer, leader, mediator, coach, role model, instructor, and counselor--and typically facilitate teams of 8-16 participants through the experiential activities and accompanying learning outcomes discussions. This is a hands-on facilitator role using ropes, harnesses, and group belay systems. Majority of work is at the Poplar Ridge Challenge Course, an outdoor facility, with activities transitioning indoors during inclement weather.
