Responsibilities Position reports to the Practice Manager/designee, and under the Medical Assistant Supervisory Agreement, performs a variety of medical assisting duties for assigned Office(s) within Southcoast Physicians Group. Under the supervision of providers and nurses, and in collaboration with caregivers, patients, and families, provide the highest quality of care and treatment for all patients. Assist providers with patient care and procedures, documenting in an electronic medical record (EMR). Facilitate efficient flow of patients through the clinic. Communicate with patients via phone and electronic portal regarding test results, surgery schedules, procedures and follow-up directions under supervision and within scope. This lead role requires close collaboration with the practice leadership team and providers. This role will serve as Train the Trainer, evaluate and sign off peers clinical competencies, and facilitate the orientation and onboarding of new staff. In collaboration with management, will schedule staff. Manage clinical inventory, ensure maintenance of clinical equipment, and order supplies. May facilitate quality improvement initiatives and represent practice on committees. Qualifications
