No patient, employee or provider harm is acceptable to us.Your Role With Us:Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics is seeking a full-time Adult Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support the growth of our Discharge Ready Unit (DRU). You'll enjoy a 7 on/7 off work schedule with 12-hour shifts (7a-7p), where you can expect to be rounding on patients along with handling some discharges and internal transfers. The APPs in the DRU are surrounded by a robust support team including RNs, LPNs and CNAs. You will not have to run codes or take on any procedure/vent-management responsibilities, as we have a closed ICU, excellent rapid response team, and collaborative ER colleagues.Background/Expertise:Nurse Practitioner:Possess a master's degree or higher in Nursing, or in a field deemed to be equivalent by the Oregon Board of Nursing.Have satisfactorily completed a Nurse Practitioner Program recognized by the Oregon Board of Nursing.Hold a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of Oregon.Hold a current, unencumbered Certificate as a Nurse Practitioner through the Oregon State Board of Nursing.Hold valid, unencumbered NP national certification issued by a nationally accrediting body.Hold DEA certification.Have at least 12-months relevant NP experience in a hospital setting, within the expanded specialty area within the past three (3) years.If the Nurse Practitioner does not have the relevant hospital experience and cannot otherwise document current competency, a monitoring plan may be required.Hold current American Heart Association ACLS certification.Physician Assistant:Graduation from a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or its predecessors, e.g., CAHEA, CAAHEP.At least 12 months relevant experience as a Physician Assistant caring for inpatients during the past three (3) years, required.If the Physician Assistant does not have the relevant hospital experience and cannot otherwise document current competency, a monitoring plan may be required.Successful completion of the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE)Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).Current PA license in good standing issued by the Oregon Medical Board (OMB).Current DEA registration.Total Rewards Offerings:Up to $15,000 start bonusUp to $30,000 student loan repaymentRelocation Assistance$4,000 annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowanceFull comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans; Life insurance; Short and long-term disability401(K) retirement plan with employer contributionsEmployee Assistance ProgramOnsite fitness center with 24/7 badge accessPublic service loan forgiveness (PSLF) eligible employerWhy Salem Health?Not-for-profit hospital, licensed for 644 acute-care bedsLargest private employer in the state of OregonLevel II trauma center and Life Flight hubBusiest emergency department on the West CoastMagnet designationEPIC EMRDesignated as a Top Workplace in OregonCommunity members honored Salem Health nine times in the "2022 Best of the Mid-Valley" awardsLive amidst Oregon's Wine Country in the beautiful Willamette Valley1-hour drive to the Pacific Ocean, 1.5-hour drive to Mt.
