Inova Fairfax Medica Campus Tower OR Unit is seeking a Surgical Technologist 2 to join its high acuity, fast paced, multispecialty operating room team! This position is working a varied schedule and shifts 40 hrs/week. Job Responsibilities:

• The Surgical Technologist 1 demonstrates knowledge and practice of basic patient care concepts.
• Demonstrates basic surgical case preparation skills.
• Demonstrates responsible behavior as a health care professional.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform the role of the first scrub on all basic surgical cases.
• Demonstrates the application of the principles of asepsis. Demonstrates the application of the principles of aseptic technique.

Requirements for Consideration:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: Recent Hospital experience and/or previous practice experience
• Surgical Technologist registration via Commonwealth of Virginia at time of hire
• Basic Life Support from American Heart Association required upon start.
• Licensed Surgical Technologist via Commonwealth of Virginia required upon start
