We are seeking a Facility Manager with a speciality in industrial security of closed areas and asset management. As a member of our team, you will join a dynamic hardworking team of Information Systems Security Officers, Facility Security Professionals, and Network/System Engineers as we strive to secure and improve our data center operations!

As a Facility Manager you will...

  • Lead all aspects of our high performance computing facilities.
  • Provide accurate documentation, sanitization, and disposal of equipment in accordance with Government directives such as the NISPOM and DAAPM.
  • Manage the Asset Management System (AMS) responsible for supervising classified assets residing in over 40 computing facilities, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor data center environments and address issues.
  • Build, inventory, and maintain accurate facility diagrams and rack elevations.
  • Have excellent skills in the areas of time management, organization, and prioritization of competing tasks. Ability to deliver timely work is needed.
  • Self-starter, able to prioritize and handle multiple/changing tasks simultaneously.

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Possess a Bachelor 's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Have 2+ years of related and relevant experience.
  • Utilize automated tools to assist in the tracking of networked IT equipment such as SolarWinds, Nagios, and Splunk.
  • Have or can obtain DoD 8140/8570 Certification (Comp TIAA Security+ or greater)
  • Have the ability to lift 50lbs and are comfortable standing or walking for extended periods of time.
  • Are able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a Secret level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

You 'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you...

  • 3+ years of related and relevant experience in a security related operations role
  • Experience as a Facility Manager/Data Center Manager
  • Facilities Management Coursework
  • Proven experience and pertinent knowledge in supporting classified facility operations to include accurate handling and sanitization of classified equipment
  • Experience with asset management tools.

The referenced pay range is based on JHU APL's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level with consideration for internal parity. For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of hours worked. APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation per internal policy and/or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, locality allowance or discretionary payments for exceptional performance. APL provides eligible staff with a comprehensive benefits package including retirement plans, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, education assistance, and training and development.
