The DSD Software Engieer will contribute to Krispy Kreme's success by driving business value through implementing development and maintenance of the company's enterprise route delivery technology systems. This role will be responsible for the company's route delivery applications, including data integration development, contextual application report development, and will participate in on-call support rotation.

A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Serve as a mentor/coach to others where applicable on Microsoft SQL/Server techniques and development practices
  • Identify gaps between business customer needs and existing or new software applications
  • Adhere to the methods, coding standards and tools for the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and supportable code that meets established requirements
  • Find ways to improve existing software solutions, systems, and processes
  • Deliver solutions to correct problems, increase efficiency and performance
  • Provide ongoing analytical and technical support for support of existing systems and integrations
  • Support and adhere to security and data governance standards, policies, and procedures within application design
  • Assist in developing standards and best practices for application development, data integration, and data accessibility
  • Participate in testing, package validation, and implementation of quarterly vendor-delivered software releases and service packs

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS:

  • Four-year degree in information technology, computer science, MIS or other related field (preferred)
  • 4+ years' experience delivering software solutions
  • History of delivering innovative system solutions and integrations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and adjust priorities based on company needs
  • Experience supporting DSD (Direct Store Delivery) preferred
  • Ability to lead a team in a highly demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to integrate complex architectures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including good interaction skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience, as well as produce clear and concise written documentation
  • Highly adaptable, enthusiastic, professional, confident, positive-minded, customer-focused, and service-oriented
  • Quick and continual learner, self-starter with excellent time management skills and ability to work independently
  • Inclination to take initiative and ownership of assigned projects, drive for results, and collaborate to achieve greatest value
  • Strong team orientation; ability to work well in a collaborative environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server technologies, including SSMS, SSRS, and SSIS
  • Ideally a background with Korber Retail Execution and DSD solutions
  • Experience with Android-based phone configurations and device management
  • Advanced relational database, SQL, and data integration
  • Solid coding, testing and debugging skills
  • Advanced MS Suite and PC skills
