As the leader of a team of highly innovative engineers and technicians, you will be responsible for the anode manufacturing lines from design and procurement, commissioning and qualification in Form Factory 1.

This role will report to the Senior Manager of Anode Manufacturing. The Anode Advanced Manufacturing Team is a cross-disciplinary group of experts in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, and Manufacturing. Together, we're responsible for designing, developing, and scaling cutting-edge electrode manufacturing processes. What you'll do:
  • Prioritize and enforce safety across all aspects of equipment design, installation, and manufacturing processes.

  • Lead and grow a team of world class engineers to expand Form's manufacturing engineering capabilities.

  • Partner closely with our Process Engineering Team to commission processes on first-of-kind manufacturing equipment.

  • Partner closely with our NPI-Ops team to stabilize and continuously improve manufacturing processes throughout the production ramp to high-volume manufacturing.

  • Partner with battery and material engineers to push the boundaries of processing technologies for next-generation energy storage solutions.

  • Clearly communicate directives, project plans, and execution strategies across all levels of the organization.

What you'll bring:
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing equipment design, novel manufacturing processes, or pilot line environments.

  • 2+ years of leadership experience managing agile, technical teams, preferably in new capital equipment introductions.

  • Hands-on, lead-by-example management style, with deep technical expertise in mechanical systems and manufacturing equipment.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, effectively working with interdisciplinary teams across multiple sites.

  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source, qualify, and integrate new manufacturing equipment and components.
