Job Summary

Planning, organization, and analysis of information relative to manufacturing line transfers, capital investment calculations, equipment modification for new products, new model additions, line capacity planning and overall project management. The reach of this ME is not limited to a central facility and extends over all the manufacturing sites of the MOEN division. Attention to detail is indispensable.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Participate with other departments on the Production Design Review.
  • Usage of process flow to determine the equipment necessary for new production lines.
  • Usage of AutoCAD to modify plant layout to accommodate new production lines.
  • Request updated quotes from different vendors using the Manufacturing Line Standard Costing Manual.
  • Support AR creation.
  • Keep documentation of production lines up to date.
  • Coordinate with local engineers to request and validate equipment and production lines specifications.
  • Visit different plants to coordinate transfer of existing production lines.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to communicate effectively with the members of each facility's team, as well as understand the objectives of the project in an interdepartmental extent (must know how the project will affect the different departments of the participant plants). Responsibility and high responsiveness are expected as this position will serve different sites. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in mechanical/electrical engineering required. Two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Possesses thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes, new product introduction, equipment evaluation, quoting, and specification writing.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints. Ability to write presentations and reports. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations to top management and public groups. Level of English must be at least professional. Spanish is preferable.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas were under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.

For the most part ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
