This position will be responsible for tracking warehouse stock. Perform as an assistant to the Senior Material Handler/Water Spider, staging materials for bulk production value streams and returning material to the warehouse after production is complete. The Material Handler/Water Spiders will also be responsible for the cycle counting process and maintain organization across all material storage locations in the Saegertown facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • * Promote proactive safety culture
  • * Maintain accurate quality records
  • * Assist the Senior Water Spiders staging materials for each production HPT and returning material to the warehouse after production is complete
  • * Ability to operate all material handling equipment including forklift
  • * Ability to prioritize production schedule and determine where material is needed
  • * Work 12-hour day or night shift
  • * The ability to safely lift up to 55 pounds
  • * Perform the weekly cycle counts and other ad hoc counts as needed to support inventory accuracy
  • * Maintain plantwide 5S expectations
  • * Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • * Willing to cross-train and perform rotating tasks
  • * Availability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • * Be a positive HPT member that promotes continuous improvement

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

* Basic computer skills

* Ability to obtain forklift certification

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Must be able to follow set schedule
