Koch Capabilities is seeking Process Safety interns to join our teams this upcoming Summer 2025 in various locations.
Koch Industries has been consistently selected as one of the top 100 Internship Programs in the U.S by WayUp. The internship opportunity will be a 12-week program running from late May to mid-August 2025.
Our Team
Successful candidates will be placed in a Process Safety Engineering Intern role within Koch Capabilities and be placed in one of the following locations (subject to business demand):

Flint Hills Resources:

  • Corpus Christi, TX
  • Rosemount, MN
  • Wichita, KS
Koch Ag & Energy Services:
  • Beatrice, NE
  • Dodge City, KS
  • Enid, OK
  • Fort Dodge, IA
  • Wever, IA
  • Wichita, KS
During this experience, the Process Safety Intern will have a supervisor and an on-site mentor to assist in development and project execution.

What You Will Do
The type of projects and initiatives a Process Safety Intern can expect to see and do are the following:
  • Gain exposure to the elements of process safety (e.g. MOC, PSSR, PHA, PSI, Incident Investigations, etc.).
  • Assist with design and roll-out of process safety efforts for facility personnel.
  • Provide frequent input and review of process safety risk reduction practices, projects, and effectiveness.
  • Lead and/or participate in projects requiring engineering expertise with a process safety focus.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Enrolled in a degree or alternative program. (e.g., 2-year technical college program, certificate program, upskilling program, etc.)
  • Eligible for full time employment on or before Summer 2026.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Enrolled in a Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering related degree program.
