JOB TITLE: Workforce Technical Analyst (Sharepoint)

This position is exempt from Career Service under the CCH Personnel Rules.

Job Summary

Under direction of the HRIS Manager or designee, the Workforce Technical Analyst provides support to all functional areas within Cook County Health (CCH) assisting with Human Resources (HR) system maintenance, testing, and auditing. The Workforce Technical Analyst is responsible for creating and maintain sites with the SharePoint platform. Works with HR to drive efficiency, improve service with technology, and provide a desired user experience.

Administers and supports additional systems, including Applicant Tracking (Taleo) and HR ServiceLink (Salesforce.com). Assists end users throughout CCH by responding to functional questions. Creates and maintains documentation supporting responses to functional questions. Creates queries and reports using system reporting tools and Excel. Develops user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Provides training and development to users as requested. Provides requested information to support audit requests within HR as well as from external customers.

Typical Duties



  • * Assists with HR system maintenance and testing.
  • * Installing the SharePoint platform, integrating applications and creating libraries.
  • * Adds users, control access to document libraries, and setting permissions.
  • * Performs maintenance of the SharePoint platform, servers and intranet.
  • * Troubleshoots and resolves SharePoint issues or malfunctions.
  • * Identifies opportunities for constant process improvement.
  • * Provides functional support to the end user community for all HRIS systems.
  • * Develops, maintains and updates documentation supporting HRIS systems.
  • * Documents, track and monitors problems as shared by end user community.
  • * Investigates hardware problems and perform system hardware and communication connection repairs.
  • * Extracts, reviews, and analyzes available data to meet business needs.
  • * Acts as a departmental Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all sites within the SharePoint platform.
  • * Provides support to CCH staff as needed.
  • * Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications



  • * High School Diploma with Three (3) years of experience using SharePoint OR Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with Two (2) years of experience using SharePoint
  • * Experience and knowledge working with Microsoft Power Automate
  • * Experience using Microsoft Excel (i.e., formulas, pivot tables, v-lookup)



Preferred Qualifications



  • * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (i.e., Macros, VBA)
  • * Experience using some programming language such as HTML and JavaScript
  • * Experience supporting CRM software (i.e., Salesforce, etc.)
  • * Experience creating and maintaining dashboard in Tableau



Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics



  • * Knowledge of query and report development for Human Resources systems.
  • * Knowledge of MS SharePoint and MS Office Suite software (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio) and other software/tools used to manage projects, provide data analysis and develop forms, presentations and reports.
  • * Skill in extracting and manipulating information pertaining to business systems applications.
  • * Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, ability to apply systems knowledge to troubleshoot and analyze issues.
  • * Strong organizational skills.
  • * Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to regulatory compliance issues.
  • * Ability to effectively communicate, both written and orally, and use sound judgment in interpreting problems and issues related to data management.


Physical and Environmental Demands

This position is functioning within a healthcare environment. The incumbent is responsible for adherence to all hospital and department specific safety requirements. This includes but is not limited to the following policies and procedures: complying with Personal Protective Equipment requirements, hand washing and sanitizing practices, complying with department specific engineering and work practice controls and any other work area safety precautions as specified by hospital wide policy and departmental procedures.
