Job Description Director, Health Information Technology (HIT) Strategy and Engagement Location: Boston, MA (3 days onsite, 2 days remote weekly) Vertex is seeking a talented individual to join our US Pain Business Unit and support our journey to bring new pain management treatment options to the market. The Director, HIT Strategy and Engagement will identify and drive the implementation of technology solutions to support the awareness, trial, and appropriate utilization of VX-548. This is a critical role as our team is preparing for potential commercialization of an investigational acute pain product, which, if approved, would be the first new mechanism of action in decades. This role will drive commercial excellence by deepening the understanding of the customer journey and associated touchpoints, providing strategic guidance to the therapeutic area (TA) teams, and creating more meaningful stakeholder engagements through HIT solutions. We are seeking a candidate that has a strong understanding of HIT, data science, and informatics. The ideal candidate needs to demonstrate an innovative mindset and leverage their understanding to design and pilot new market approaches to improve patient outcomes. This role reports to the Senior Director and Head of the Market Transformation for the US Pain Business Unit.
