Manufacturing Equip. Maintenance/Process Technician

Job Purpose:

Primary purpose of this job is to maintain, repair and improve machinery throughout the factory. Successful applicant will have a strong skill set in automation. Must have the ability to detect minor problems, correct them or eliminate them before they become major issues.

Job Duties:

• Evaluate, dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts
• Perform all repairs of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical parts for SMT and other Robotic assembly equipment
• Repair all support equipment including conveyors and soldering robotics
• Troubleshoot issues in work cells containing as many as 5 integrated machines
• Created spare parts lists and preventive maintenance procedures
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Thermal profiling of PCB's through Reflow, Wave Selection soldering process
• Run monthly validation of equipment
• Maintain a database of pastes, fluxes, recipes and profiles
• Work and maintain CMMS System management
• Programming SMT, Wave, Selective, Thru Hole, Press fit and Conformal Coat machinery
• Chemicals requests and evaluations
• Perform general building maintenance and other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Associate's Degree / 2 year Technical Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 2-4 years experience working with SMT/or and other robotic assembly equipment
• Ability to work in both team environment and able to be self directed
• Ability to work well with other members of the technical and production staffs
• Results and Quality Oriented
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read and comprehend technical literature
• Ability to read and comprehend schematics and technical instructions
• Ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non technical personnel
