Job Title: Data Analyst Location(s): Reston, VA Responsibilities: Works with key stakeholders in the Enterprise Risk Management organization to align technology solutions with business strategies Gathers requirements from business units and translates those to programmers and developers Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities Supports one or more highly complex business processes Works on multiple projects as a project team member Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred 5-7 years' experience required Basic knowledge of programming languages in order to comprehend reading code and basic functions Proficiency in SQL required Demonstrated experience conducting business analysis in a data warehouse environment required Strong data analysis skill and experience developing requirements documentation for technology team required Demonstrated experience creating source to target mapping documents required Demonstrated experience using AWS environment preferred Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Microstrategy strongly preferred Experience using relational databases such as Netezza or Redshift strongly preferred Knowledge of programming languages such as SAS, Python or R preferred Must be self-starter and detail oriented Must have strong verbal and oral communication skills Experience working on an agile team a plus Experience using Jira a plus Knowledge of mortgage industry a plus
