THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON AWARD!!!

Description: Performs inspection, diagnoses, repairs, and monitors systems structure, gear, controls, power, and electrical and/or electronic systems and components as assigned. Receives technical guidance from team leads and/or supervisors, which may be more senior technicians. Uses hand tools, power tools, machines, and ancillary equipment required to perform assigned tasks. Reads and interprets service and manufacturer maintenance manuals, instructions, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of maintaining and repairing malfunctioning systems, and/or ancillary equipment. Follow specific requirements for Ordnance maintenance IAW CNAFINST 4790 and maintenance instructions. Cleans aircraft parts and assemblies with solvents or other cleaning solutions. Performs other job-related duties as may be assigned based on skillsets.

Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Experience: Minimum of four (4) years experience with aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of parts for the assigned position. Demonstrated use of technical publications and guidance. Demonstrated experience with aircraft and equipment logs and records, and specific experience with the aircraft type to be supported. Mechanical support positions require a broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal and/or structural modifications and repair and must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, micrometers, sheet metal brakes, and sheers. Electrical and avionics positions must have basic knowledge of electrical theory and thorough knowledge of aircraft's unique tools such as test equipment, indicators, and meters.
