Pediatric Allergy and Immunology Specialist

West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics is seeking an Allergy and Immunology specialist qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank to join our established practice in Morgantown, WV

Duties: The successful candidate will practice at our expanding Children's Hospital. In addition to providing excellent patient care, they will also be actively involved in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, and improving the care of neonatal patients through quality improvement projects or research.

Qualifications: Candidates must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain a state medical license. Candidates must have completed anaccredited pediatrics residency programand be fellowship trained and board certified/eligiblein allergy and immunology. Preference will be given to applicants with internal medicine training. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Our new 150 bed Children's Hospital has a full suite of pediatric operating rooms, cardiac catheterization lab/interventional radiology, and GI-endoscopy with dedicated pediatric anesthesia staff. The hospital includes 34 pediatric beds, 54 NICU beds, 26 PICU beds, Heart Center, and a dedicated Cancer Center. WVU Medicine Children's is a Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center, with plans to become Level 1, as it is for adults currently. There is a Birthing Center including a 30-bed obstetrical unit and maternal-fetal medicine clinic. J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital is the only hospital in West Virginia with a pediatric cardiac surgery program, the only epilepsy monitoring unit in the state equipped to serve children, and the only hospital in the state to receive Magnet status for nursing excellence.
