Additional Job Description: West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Neurology seek a Neurohospitalist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor) for our School of Medicine Eastern Division regional campus. The successful candidate will be expected to practice at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV. Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of neurology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students and residents. Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed neurology residency program and be board certified / eligible in neurology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. Successful candidate will join an academically oriented, supportive, collegial group with a focus on evidence-based medicine, progressive teaching, and research. The general neurology practice sees a wide variety of neurologic conditions, including epilepsy/seizure disorders, stroke, chronic headaches/ migraines, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's disease. Opportunities also exist to develop subspecialty interests. WVU Medicine is very supportive of the use of Advance Practice Providers to enhance patient care and has outstanding clinical and administrative support staff to maximize the day-to-day operations of the office.
