JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Food Service Production Worker works in support of the Housing and Food Services management team at Penn State Berks to facilitate and perform a variety of tasks including customer service, food and beverage preparation, register duties, general housekeeping and other related functions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, food preparation, including usage of knives and kitchen equipment, stocking and operating made to order and self-serve food stations, washing dishes and general cleaning.

Job Duties
  • Work different stations including grill, deli, pizza, kitchen prep, or We Proudly Serve Starbucks beverages based off position.
  • Prepare all made to order food and/or beverages according to recipe or customer specifications.
  • Food preparation using knives and kitchen equipment including ovens, fryers, and flattops
  • Greet and provide an enjoyable experience for all customers. Respond to customer requests and complaints in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Work together as a team with other employees to give great service to our customers.
  • Stock food and beverage areas with product and supplies to ensure in-stock conditions at all times.
  • Complete cleanliness tasks to ensure all food and beverage service areas are free of any residue, debris and spills.
  • Adhere to the execution of established safety, security, quality and Penn State operations policies and procedures and practices as outlined in employee manuals, training material, and other publications.
  • Complete all housekeeping functions (i.e., cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, etc.).
  • Ensure safe working conditions by maintaining a clean, organized work area in accordance to standards.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by store management.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Applicant must be organized and dedicated to exceptional customer service. '
  • Previous food service experience preferred

Multiple openings and shifts are available including Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Sunday through Thursday 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. This is for part-time opening for 20 hrs a week.
