Entry level position, learning to either preform, press, or finish rubber molded seal or gaskets.
Most production jobs at Parker - Nacogdoches are categorized into one, two, or a combination of all three of the following skill sets:
- Preform - Manufacture preformed rubber which meets specifications and production requirements.
- Press - Operate compression, transfer or injection presses to make preformed rubber into rubber seals or gaskets.
- Finishing - Use hand tools or automated trim machines to trim or buff parts to meet the final specifications.
In addition; all employees must be willing to do the following:
- Actively participate in the plant's safety program
- Read and comply with work instructions including reading blueprints with required accurate measurements of the product.
- Ability to meet established production rates for your area
- Record accurate and timely data to include production and quality reports.
- Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area.
- Actively participate in the High Performance Team for your work area.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- A high school diploma or GED is required to be considered a qualified candidate.
- All of our positions require moderate physical effort including lifting up to 40 lbs (not repetitively) and constant standing and will be exposed to a non-climate controlled environment, with temperatures ranging between 40 degrees and 100+ degrees, dependent on outside weather.
- Attention to SAFETY, DETAIL and QUALITY is a must.
- Daily attendance is a requirement of the job, as is arriving on time. Overtime is expected when customer demand dictates the need.
This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident ["green card" holders], or have refugee or asylee status).
