Internal Audit (IA) supports the Audit Committee of the Board in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities by independently assessing the firm's internal control structure, raising awareness of control risk, providing advice to management in developing control solutions, and monitoring the implementation of management's control measures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Internal Audit Business Operations team manages a broad set of divisional operating activities under the direction of the Chief of Staff (CoS) and Chief Operating Officer (COO). The team is responsible for delivering the division's forward-looking business planning and strategic transformation initiatives through collaborating with each of IA's business units (BUs) to forecast and achieve quantitative and qualitative results for the division.

The team manages strategic process improvements, develops reporting, performs analysis and coordinates execution across the following primary areas. We are looking for a Vice President who will be part of the "Recruiting, Talent Management & Administration" pillar, working closely with the vice president and analyst in this space for the division. Primary responsibilities include the below:



  • Recruiting, Talent Management & Administration:
  • Manage Americas administrative staff
  • Review IA expenses, and assist with approving expenses via Concur
  • Assist with managing the Americas office space portfolio, including organizing office moves, and managing the New York office space on a day-to-day basis
  • Support evolving remit of administrative functions for the division
  • Management of Americas assistants


Other pillars within the Business Operations team include the following:



  • Budget and Headcount Management

    • Financial budgeting and forecasts, including tracking of operating efficiencies
    • Position management, including headcount budgeting, organization design, location strategy and open role management
    • Contingent worker expense management, including on-boarding and off-boarding processes

  • Process Governance

    • Project Management Office (PMO) for key departmental activities, including quarterly risk and control self-assessment (RCSA), quarterly IA risk assessment, annual audit plan development and the annual staff skills assessment
    • Lead IA operating groups in support of key governance forums, including risk assessment and finding remediation

  • Business Unit Management

    • Coordinate periodic reviews to assess operational performance of IA BUs, including developing, monitoring and reporting on operating KPIs
    • Work within the major BUs to develop operational expertise across the full suite of non-audit activities




Business knowledge / Qualifications




  • Undergraduate degree and 7+ years of experience in financial analysis / accounting, operational management, or project/portfolio management
  • 5+ years of experience managing people, preferable those working in administrative positions
  • Team player with proven ability to build strong, trusted relationships and operate in a collaborative and influential manner in driving consensus with peers and senior executives.
  • Dedicated to developing, coaching and mentoring junior staff
  • Strategic thinker with proven ability to look for new ways to improve current processes and develop creative solutions
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to consistently exercise discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with excellent multi-tasking and follow-through ability
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint



Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $85000-$140000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
