Territory: Kansas City Covering: Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Nebraska, and eastern Missouri The Sales Associate (SA) has the primary responsibility of supporting and maintaining existing product utilization and sales revenue for Avanos Medical Surgical Pain customers, while identifying growth opportunities in designated geography. Responsibilities (fundamental job duties):
- Maintain base of Avanos Medical Surgical Pain product sales and utilization within an assigned geography.
- Support sales leads by interfacing with customers and identifying their clinical needs for Avanos Medical Surgical Pain products and working with the Region Manager and Territory Manager to secure sales meetings accordingly.
- Learn to demonstrate effective use of all approved clinical data/studies and key placement guides.
- Schedule product demonstrations, educational in-services, cases, and value-add services with doctors, nurses, supply chain, pharmacy, and operating room staff to support product awareness.
- Work with all hospital call points to provide support needed to utilize Avanos Medical Surgical Pain products.
- Conduct follow up on product used in cases as directed and authorized by the prescribing physician while following all hospital and Avanos Medical Surgical Pain policies and procedures and respecting patient confidentiality.
- Complete all sales training and compliance assignments by assigned due dates.
- Provide vital and timely feedback to Avanos Medical Surgical Pain on customer, product, and quality information and works within the Quality and Regulatory critical timelines for response
- Track allowed expenses, submit via Concur weekly, remain Sunshine Act compliant
- Exercise control and good judgment of operational expenses (gas, office supplies, telephone, shipping, lodging, meals, and entertainment) while staying in compliance with expense guidelines.
- Acquire and maintain current knowledge of competitor's position in marketplace.
- Maintain current, expert knowledge of regulatory environment and its governance of use of Avanos Medical Surgical Pain products.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum two years of sales experience, B2B or medical device
- Proficient in Microsoft Business Suite, Outlook, and CRM programs. (SFDC)
- Complete necessary hospital vendor credentialing that may be required for access along with associated anatomy and medical terminology, Operating room protocols, and Avanos Code of Conduct
