Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

Stellar Solutions is seeking an experienced and accomplished Senior Systems Engineer to support fast-paced operational projects. The candidate will work with senior management, technical project directors, systems engineers, customer stakeholders, mission partners, and development contractors to ensure systems are deployed properly and maintained throughout the mission lifecycle.

Responsibilities for this role include:

    The Systems Engineer should be able to plan, implement, test, and document enterprise-wide solutions for total systems or subsystems using internally created and/or off the shelf products
  • This includes analyzing and identifying all or part of the customer's existing or new systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs, and establishing functional and technical specifications and standards, solving interface problems, defining input/output parameters, and ensuring integration of the entire system or subsystem
  • The Systems Engineer will provide support for detailed test planning, integration issues, lab configurations, RF integration questions, and regulatory discussions
  • Experience in building Systems Requirements Review (SRR) / System Design Review (SDR) / Preliminary Design Review (PDR) / Critical Design Review (CDR) products and conducting those reviews
  • Perform analysis on identified issues, such as Program configuration Link Budgets, specification change requests, performance estimates, impacts of issues/artifacts identified during RF characterization
  • Alignment of product feature prioritization to program milestones/demo goals
  • Be a self-starter with leadership capabilities and execution of roles and responsibilities with little to no supervision
  • Require minimal oversight to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Identify integration issues and coordinate Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) to resolve them
  • Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships, as well as handle complaints, settle disputes and resolve conflicts

Qualifications

  • BS/BA and 12-15 years of experience or MS and 10-13 years of experience, or Phd 8-10 years of experience
  • Technical Degree (Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, etc.)
  • Have demonstrated experience leading technical teams to develop/implement hardware/software requirements
  • Have demonstrated ability to quickly ramp up to support the customer's needs, clearly communicate (orally & written) ideas, work autonomously, take the initiative to provide creative alternatives to intractable challenges or systemic problems
  • Have ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Have demonstrated strong customer and partner relationship building skills

Desired Skills

  • Work experience leading multiple disciplines at multiple geographically diverse sites
  • Experience with MBSE
  • Experience in developing or managing the development of advanced programs, to include integration of commercial technology, and development of specialized hardware solutions

Salary Range: The typical pay range for this position is USD $160,000 - $205,000 per year, total package. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, retirement plan and other benefits (all included as part of package).



Deliverable(s)

Deliverables will be in the format of reports, briefings, spreadsheets, or other documents as directed by the customer and/or government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance/instructions/policy or direction. The nature of this work will, at times, require a quick response to stringent deadlines and always in a high quality, professional manner.
