At UW Health, you will have:
Education: Minimum - High school diploma or equivalent and graduate of or currently enrolled in a Medical Coding Program. In lieu of a Medical Coding education, an active coding certification is required. Preferred - Graduate of a Health Information Technology program Work Experience: Minimum - Two years of progressive inpatient facility coding experience Preferred - Two or more years of inpatient facility coding experience in an Academic Medical Center and/or Level 1 Trauma Center Licenses and Certifications: Minimum - Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) required Preferred - Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion UW Health is committed to being a diverse, inclusive and anti-racist workplace and is an Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action employer.
