Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Post Doctoral Research Associate to contribute to our cutting-edge research in single crystal growth, magnetic and transport
characterization, and neutron scattering of quantum materials. The tentative start date is December 1, 2024.

Essential Functions:
- Conduct experiments and perform single crystal growth to synthesize high-quality samples of quantum materials, such as chiral magnets and multiferroics.
- Utilize advanced techniques for magnetic and transport characterization of quantum materials, including magnetic susceptibility, electrical conductivity, Hall effect, and thermal properties.
- Perform neutron scattering experiments to investigate the structural and dynamic properties of quantum materials.
- Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and contribute to publications in reputable scientific journals.
- Collaborate with team members, actively participate in scientific discussions, and contribute to the development of new research projects.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, methodologies, and results in compliance with laboratory and institutional guidelines.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. in Physics, Materials Science, or a related discipline, with a strong background in quantum material research.
- Proficiency in magnetic and transport characterization techniques, including measurements of magnetic properties, electrical conductivity, Hall effect, and thermal properties.
- Experience with neutron scattering experiments and data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex experimental data.
- Track record of scientific publications in the field of quantum materials.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a research team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present research findings effectively.
-At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
