General Position Summary: The position serves as assistant to the Coex Operator. The goal of this cooperative effort is to safely and efficiently meet or exceed all manufacturing and quality standards. The primary responsibilities of the Assistant Operator will be the set-up and operation of the winder, various slits and perfs. Plus, the Assistant supports the Operators when webbing the machine, during start-up, and any other tasks to allow the Operator to fulfill the duties necessary to produce the highest quality finished product. The Assistant Operator is expected to learn and know how to operate the COEX Production line and operate the COEX line for periods up to half a shift. The assistant must also learn the operation of the COEX production line. The Assistant Operator will be expected to work where company business needs require. Essential Functions: Safely and efficiently produce product on assigned production area. Always wear Personal Protective Equipment as required. Operate Powered Industrial Vehicles to stage and move product. Read a tape measure to 1/32". Must be able to communicate (read and write) in English. Additional Functions: Keep all tools and equipment in proper places. Physical Environmental Demands: Work in temperatures of 100 degrees plus with high humidity for up to 12 hour shifts. Frequent Standing and walking Frequent Stoop and Squat Frequent Bending and some Kneeling and crawling Occasional bending and twisting Occasional stair climbing Pushing/Pulling 30 - 50 pounds of force Occasional reaching; Repetitive use of wrist, hands and fingers Frequent use of shoulders, elbows, hips, knees and ankles.
