Position Title: Production Assembler
Wage: $17.00-$18.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 5:30am-2:00pm Monday-Friday QPS Employment Group is hiring a Production Assembler for a company in Milwaukee, WI. This is an opportunity for hire role on 1st shift. Production Assembler Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Will be cross-training on the production floor - Read and follow shop tickets in order to prepare quality interior/exterior door units for assembly and/or packaging - Verify material is correct per the work order and perform visual inspections of materials before and during assembly to identify scratches, dents, and other defects - Operate necessary equipment, including a corner square, various hand tools, chop saw, table saw, router, and air tools - Verify that finished products meet required tolerances, color shades, profiles, and customer specifications - Perform required quality inspections and document or report identified issues in accordance with established procedures - Maintain acceptable housekeeping standards and follow prescribed safety rules and regulations Production Assembler Requirements: - Maintain punctual and regular attendance - Perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition and fraction conversion - Able to safely handle heavy and/or awkwardly shaped objects - Able to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch - Work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment - Regularly stand and use their hands to handle, touch, or control objects and tools - Occasionally walk; sit; reach above the shoulders; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; communicate verbally and hear; and use one or both feet to operate machinery - Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 75 pounds - Frequently work near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles - Occasionally work outdoors in varying weather conditions - Work environment is usually loud QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
