Responsibilities

Finance Process & Technology Transformation

Proactively engage Finance stakeholders to identify operational pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in planning, forecasting, analysis, and business support.
  • Define business problems, outcomes, requirements, dependencies, and success measures; coordinate system and process changes through testing, rollout, training, and adoption.
  • Build working knowledge of ERP, EPM, CRM, HR, BI, and related platforms; connect business needs with technical expertise and support responsible adoption of AI and automation.
  • Recognize when an issue requires a business decision and bring the appropriate leaders and subject-matter experts together to resolve it.
  • Actively support responsible adoption of AI and automation across Finance by helping teams understand new capabilities, identify practical use cases, and incorporate approved tools into existing workflows - approaching emerging technology with curiosity and a willingness to experiment, learn, and adapt while recognizing appropriate governance, security, and human-review requirements.
  • Use automation and AI where appropriate to reduce manual project administration, improve reporting, identify risks, and summarize activity, preserving more time for stakeholder engagement and problem solving.

Business Knowledge & Process Mapping

  • Facilitate discovery and document end-to-end Finance processes, roles, controls, terminology, business rules, systems, exceptions, and decision points.
  • Identify gaps, inconsistent definitions, undocumented knowledge, and unclear ownership; establish maintainable process maps, inventories, glossaries, and validation practices.
  • Partner with Data Strategy & Analytics to translate validated process knowledge into inputs for semantic models, analytics, automation, and AI.

Project & Portfolio Leadership

  • Translate loosely defined initiatives into actionable plans with owners, milestones, risks, decisions, and dependencies; coordinate teams and escalate issues requiring leadership decisions.
  • Maintain accurate project and portfolio visibility using ClickUp or comparable tools, including dashboards, status updates, and lightweight governance.
  • Use automation and AI where appropriate to reduce administrative work, improve project execution, and maintain momentum across organizational boundaries.

Change Leadership & Communication

  • Build trusted relationships across Finance, business, and technology teams; facilitate constructive discussions and alignment among competing priorities.
  • Communicate complex topics clearly to executives and practitioners, lead effective working sessions, and prepare concise recommendations, updates, and change communications.
  • Facilitate productive meetings and working sessions that result in clear decisions, responsibilities, and next steps.

Required Skills & Required Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant professional experience; 7+ years in project/program management, operations, transformation, process improvement, change management, consulting, or another cross-functional role.
  • Experience leading multi-stakeholder initiatives; exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication; proven ability to build trust, influence without authority, and create accountability.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, initiative, independent judgment, organization, and follow-through; ability to structure ambiguous problems, manage competing priorities, and know when to escalate.
  • Experience facilitating business-process discovery, mapping workflows, and converting institutional knowledge into structured, maintainable documentation.
  • Proficiency with modern project-management tools (e.g., ClickUp, Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, Jira); willingness and ability to use AI-enabled tools in daily research, communication, documentation, analysis, and process improvement.
  • Intellectual curiosity and demonstrated adaptability when learning unfamiliar business processes, systems, and emerging technologies.

Preferred

  • Experience with Finance, Accounting, business operations, enterprise transformation, or project-based professional services (including architecture, engineering, or consulting).
  • Experience establishing process repositories, knowledge-management practices, glossaries, or process inventories.
  • Exposure to ERP, EPM, CRM, HR, BI, cross-functional technology implementations, process improvement, change management, and AI/automation adoption.
  • Experience preparing executive decision materials; project management, process improvement, or change-management certification is a plus, not required.
