Position Summary
Help Lead the Team That Keeps UNM Moving! The University of New Mexico Parking & Transportation Services (PATS) is seeking an experienced and motivated Supervisor, Parking Services to lead the day-to-day operations of the PATS Enforcement team. PATS Enforcement plays an important role in creating a safe, organized, and welcoming campus by providing excellent customer service and parking information to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while communicating and enforcing UNM Parking Regulations and applicable city, state, and federal laws. What You'll Do As the Supervisor, Parking Services, you will provide leadership, direction, and support to enforcement staff working throughout the UNM campus. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervise, lead, and support PATS Enforcement employees
in daily field operations. - Create and oversee daily and weekly work schedules,
assignments, and enforcement zones. - Hire, train, mentor, and support the professional
development of enforcement staff. - Coordinate and oversee enforcement activities
associated with special events and campus activities. - Provide performance management, coaching, feedback, and
annual performance evaluations. - Promote consistent application of UNM policies,
procedures, and parking regulations. - Assist with developing, implementing, and interpreting
departmental goals, policies, and procedures. - Manage assigned projects and provide timely
follow-through on operational priorities. - Serve as a resource for employees and assist with
resolving customer and operational concerns. - Provide critical operational information and
recommendations to the PATS Management Team. - Work collaboratively with PATS leadership and other
campus partners to support effective parking operations and a positive campus experience.

goals, policies, and procedures. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan,
prioritize, and manage job-critical activities. - Experience effectively defusing and resolving
challenging situations. - Experience in a parking and/or transportation
environment is preferred. - Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication
skills. - Demonstrated computer skills, including Microsoft
Office applications such as Word and Excel, as well as database platforms.

Conditions of Employment
- Possession of a valid New Mexico driver's license is a requirement for this job.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supervising employees in a field-based or
operational environment, preferably in a union setting. - Experience hiring, training, coaching, and developing
staff. - Strong customer service, communication, conflict
resolution, and de-escalation skills. - Experience developing and implementing policies,
procedures, goals, schedules, and operational plans. - Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project
management skills. - Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple
operational activities. - Experience in parking, transportation, enforcement, or
a related environment preferred. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and
Excel, and database systems. - Demonstrated leadership, accountability, and
follow-through. - Ability to build positive working relationships and
foster a collaborative team environment. - Ability to make sound decisions, address performance
concerns, and hold employees accountable. - Ability to remain professional, approachable, and
solution-focused in challenging situations.
