Position Title: Forklift Operator
Wage: $20.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 5:50am-2:00pm Monday-Friday We are currently seeking candidates for a sit-down forklift role located in the Kansas City, KS area. This company also offers a family-oriented work environment and the opportunity to participate in profit sharing once hired on permanently. If interested, please apply with an updated work history. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 1st shift. Forklift Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Operation and care of forklift in a safe manner; must be qualified to properly operate the forklift - Locate stock before the start of the run - Unload and load trucks in a careful and responsible manner - Complete necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner - Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed - Maintain neat, orderly, and safe stacks of stock in storage areas - Adhere to daily production schedule; make recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, delivery, and service goals - Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping - Manuel floor dock: must lift floor chain independently with hands or with king pin puller to pick up and close dock floor securely Forklift Operator Requirements: - High school diploma or GED required - Prior work experience in the corrugated industry preferred - Prior work experience as a forklift operator and currently certified - Previous manual labor experience is a must - Routinely lift to 55 pounds and multi-task to keep up with tight production schedules - Sit for prolonged period - Lifting floor chain to open floor dock - Ability to read and comprehend written, oral, and graphic form of instructions - Ability to read a tape measure - Basic math skills are required - Strong attention to detail - Strong work ethics and excellent attendance will be the key to long-term success IND060 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
