Position Overview

Molex is seeking a dynamic and proactive Account Manager to join our Hyperscale account management team. As an Account Manager, you will manage your assigned business units within this strategic customer and be responsible for the profitable growth of Molex business by creating new demand and defending existing business.

This position carries a high degree of autonomy and will serve as the primary contact between Molex and the customer, educating the customer and their partners on the value that Molex brings to their infrastructure architecture. To enable this, you will interface seamlessly with many internal Molex functions including other members of the Global Sales & Marketing team, Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Strategic Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with technical and commercial influencers at the customer and internally.
  • Revenue & Pipeline Growth: Manage the assigned portfolio to achieve revenue/profit growth targets and demand creation pipeline goals.
  • Opportunity Generation: Identify strategic business opportunities and present business cases to internal stakeholders to gain the necessary support to execute.
  • NPI Program Execution: Coordinate internal cross-functional teams to guarantee overall success of NPI programs, including key milestone tracking and ensuring Molex performance is aligned with customer expectations.
  • Supply & Demand Coordination: Track and coordinate demand fulfillment with APO, CM sales, and supply planning teams.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Own reporting and analytics across all business units. Track revenue and profitability of the assigned portfolio and ensure the business is captured accurately across all Molex systems.
  • Strategy Articulation: Identify value drivers for the assigned customer portfolio and articulate strategy and business needs to leadership.
  • CRM Management: Track and document these actions and results in our Customer Relationship Management tool. Become a subject matter expert on Molex capabilities and the product portfolio.

Skills & Abilities

  • Technical Acumen: Ability to map complex technical requirements to capabilities and products and develop a customer engagement strategy.
  • Self-Motivated & Curious: Ability to work through ambiguity to deliver the desired outcome with minimal direct supervision.
  • Communication & Influence: Effective communicator face-to-face, remotely via phone/video, and via email. Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships, network, and influence others, both internally and at the customer.
  • Operational Excellence: Organization, attention to detail, timely follow-through, and time management skills to address multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Analytical Prowess: Ability to understand complex data sets and process data using Excel and other tools.

The Experience You Will Bring (Requirements)

  • A Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in business or a technical discipline.
  • Customer-facing experience in a sales, account manager, or equivalent technical role.
  • Proven ability to manage high-level, complex engagements with Tier 1 hyperscale, cloud, or enterprise data center customers.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience calling on consumer product or hyperscale OEMs, with a proven track record of design wins.
  • Prior experience in the electronics industry: passive/active components, interconnect products, power electronics, etc.
  • Familiarity with the hardware product design process and complex technical sales cycles.

For this role, we anticipate paying $120,000- $180,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
