The University of Arizona's College of Agriculture, Life and Veterinary Sciences, and Cooperative Extension (ALVSCE) is seeking an Administrative Operations Professional II to join College Business Services (CBS). This full-time position is part of the CALES Business Team 2 and provides financial support to advance the college's teaching, research, and extension mission. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day financial transactions, supporting financial analysis and reporting, ensuring compliance with university policies, and contributing to operational efficiency. ALVSCE is a statewide and global enterprise that includes the College of Agriculture, Life and Environmental Sciences, Cooperative Extension, the Arizona Experiment Station, and numerous research centers and institutes. Through instruction, research, and community engagement, ALVSCE serves all 15 Arizona counties and supports thousands of individuals and organizations each year. | Duties & Responsibilities |
- Leads the development of complex financial reports and communicates information to faculty; Checks and analyzes financial information and accounting statements so that faculty and PIs have accurate and timely information for making financial decisions.
- Reconciles various funding sources, including state, local, grant, mission support, service and gift accounts (including UA Foundation).
- Supports the daily operations of a unit with a $25M+ operating budget through review and approval of financial transactions and expenditures such as Pcard, reimbursements, purchase orders and requisitions.
- Supports the Business Manager, Senior in reviewing accounts to ensure accuracy, proper documentation, and compliance with all pertinent procedures and regulations.
- Supports the Business Manager, Senior in developing operational procedures to streamline processes and procedures.
- Performs a broad scope of accounting and financial activities such as initiating financial transactions, i.e., journal entries, payroll and general expense transfers, reconciliations, requisitions, check requests, and internal billings.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is required, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

- Experience working in UAccess Analytics, Financial and Employee or other institutional enterprise systems found in higher education settings.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
